Here is a picture of our baby girl. Being as objective as I can be, I have to say she is one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen. And now that we’ve seen her and we have more information about her, we feel closer to her, which is a great feeling. On the other hand, it makes it harder to be apart from her. We can imagine her waking up every morning and going to sleep each night in a crowded orphanage, not knowing she has a family who loves her dearly.
Our baby was brought in a box to an orphanage in Huazhou on November 21st, 2006. She was one day old. She was admitted to the orphanage and given the name Jixiang Bei.
Chinese names begin with a combined surname and middle name, followed by the first name. Using American convention, her name would be Bei Xiang Ji. “Ji” is the name given to all the orphans in our baby’s orphanage and “Xiang” is the middle name given to all orphans born in 2006. “Bei” (pronounced “Bay”, symbol 蓓) was assigned by a computer program.
The dossier we got last month said that she is a quiet baby who loves to be held. I think we can handle that.

As the Father of a beautiful girl, I can say that I agree, she is a most beautiful girl. Shanda and I are so happy that your family is growing and can't wait to meet Bei. Let us know if we can help in any way.

As the mom of girl "Boinky", I can say that daughters are a most special addition to your home. They have soft EVERYTHING, including voice, hands, fingers, toes, and cheeks to kiss and cuddle. I wish you as much happiness as we've had with our precious lil girl!
She's BEAUTIFUL.
you'll be holding her and snuggling her oh so soon.....
